Hello, we are on sql 2016 enterprise edition. We have 1 node in primary site & 1 node in DR site. We are using ola hallengren scripts to backup databases. The db backups were running fine until few days ago when the server got rebooted. After the server
rebooted, the full & diff backup jobs were running fine except transaction log backups. The log backup job was running successfully, but no log backup file was created. Upon trouble shooting found that the sys.fn_hadr_backup_is_preferred_replica was returning
0 on both the nodes of the cluster. But how come only full & differential backup jobs were running after the reboot but not log backup job. The log backup job was running fine but not creating the log backup file. Which in turn grew the log file &
the disk ran out of space which ended in database outage. Any ideas on how to resolve the issue of backing up tran log backup. Thanks.
