Maintenance Plan

Hi:

I have SQL  Server 2005, I am trying to create a Maintenance Plan for taking Backups.

When I try creating a new Maintenance plan, and try using the Backup Database Task, I see that the Connection option is grayed out (by default it should be Local Server Connection). I am not able to connect to the database server.

What could be the reason for this, could some one let me know.

Although on other servers I do not have any issues.
