So we have a 2008 R2 SP2 Enterprise Edition db set up as a Mirrored/LogShipped pair. The mirror is syncronous and log shipping has a 2 hour delay to a remote site. The size of the db is 3 TB+
We plan to perform a system upgrade (mostly schema changes and some data) on a live system (downtime is not acceptable as the upgrade will run for about 8 hours). We have tested it thoroughly but, still need to plan for a comprehensive rollback plan if at all needed..do plan to take a backup prior to our start
Questions :
1. Is backup and restore the best/fastest recovery solution for this db?
2. Other options that may be best practice so mirror and log ship target are rebuilt with min effort?
