SQL 2012 Availability Group Connectivity

Good afternoon,

Hope your well. We have currently setup SQL 2012 on a Windows Server Failover Cluster, spanning across multiple Datacentres. We have two Nodes in each DataCentre (DC1 and DC2), and a Fileshare witness on a seperate DataCentre (DC3). With this setup have been able to setup an AlwaysOn Availability Group. Some interesting things I've noticed. We created the Listeners on the group to have the same DNS name for both subnets of the DC's (This would keep things simple for endusers). I can see the DNS entries created, however it seems that we have to complete a DNS flush to connect to the Availbilty group following a failover (Doesnt really seem always on, as customers won't always know a failover has happened). As a test both DC's are configured for synchronous commit, so failover is automatic. However the whole DNS issues seems a little awkward, am I missing something there? Your assistance would be appreciated. Other queries I have all span around how this little connectivity issue would/could be resolved on failover.

kind regards,
