Bringing up a 3-node AG cluster. Created a listener for AG group on default instance. Used a non-default port number for the instance and same port number for the listener which I believe is appropriate. Using SSMS to connect to "myListener,xxxx". Can only connect from SSMS to the "myListener,xxxx" while running SSMS locally on the primary replica. The HA and DR subnet IPs and ports should be open between clients and 3 cluster nodes, i.e., firewall
ports should be open. I'll try to confirm that, but the firewall team already assured me that the IPs/ports are open. Is firewall ports not opened pretty much the main reason I can't connect to the listener except locally on the primary?
