Hi,
We're running a SQL Server 2016 failover cluster on Windows Server 2019 in Azure. The latest CU and the security update KB4535706 breaks the clustered SQL Server instance and the only way to get it up and running is to uninstall both updates. There is nothing useful in any log and since the service never starts there is nothing logged to the SQL ERRORLOG file and the event logs are more or less empty.
Does anyone else have this problem and have you been able to fix it?
The last good CU we can run is CU8 (KB4505830) - anything later than that and we can't start the clustered instance.
