Dear Experts,

I am upgrading our existing SQL 2012 failover cluster to new hardware. The SQL server is a publisher for server replicated databases. I was looking at the best way to migrate to the new hardware. I would like to keep the replication intact and not have to recreate it if possible. My current plan was to use mirroring, fail over the mirror to the new hardware change the Ip and instance name to match the old server, and restore the distribution table. I have read articles online about this both ways that it would / would not work. I was hoping to get some help on a plan. Is there a better way to do this to minimize downtime?
