How to detect client hits if they are coming thru or hitting the Listener instead of hitting primary or secondary server directly in AG

We have two node Availability Groups:

Node A (ip address)

Node B (ip address)

Listener L (own ip address)

Connection strings from various app groups are supposed to hit the Listener L at all times.

We want to catch if db hits are coming to Node A directly, instead of thru Listener L

Is there any way of seeing this info that is a bit outside of traditional database 

Something like turning on Listener Log capture or some special extended event types that we usually don't know and use
