Machine name longer than 15 characters

Hi all,

I've installed SQL Server 2014 Enterprise Edition on 4 servers which names are 16 characters long. I'm trying to configure an AlwaysOn Availability Group on these 4 servers (this is not my first AG Group...) but the operation fails creating the cluster group.

I've scanned the clusterlog messages and found that the creation of group fails at SqlInstToNodeMap, I suspect because the netbiosname of the server is 15 characters long but the dns name is 16.

I've not found anywhere that a 15-char name limits still exists in sql 2014 when it comes to create an AO Cluster.

Any help?
