We have an existing two server node cluster (Windows 2008) running SQL instances. Now we have added two New Win 2008 server nodes to this existing cluster setup. When we try to failover any cluster resource to any of the new nodes, the resource
gets into Failed/Offline status. Any attempts to bring it online there fail. So ultimately we have to revert the resources to any of the two original nodes and then it comes onlione.
-All four servers have same patch/service pack/software levels
-Production IPs and Heartbeat IPs (all IPv4) do not have any issue in communication.
-Storage used by original cluster nodes has been shared (zoned) so it is viisble to the two new nodes.
-Cluster validation has been run. It shows few (generic) warnings, like SQL resource running in shared monitor, IPv6 not configured etc. It also is Unable to test the disks as teh disks are in use (clustered).
What could be the issue here?
This is VERY URGENT for our environment, so any help would be much appreciated.
